Betty for Schools was a series of free curriculum resources, teaching students about the menstrual cycle in a contemporary way. The programme included immersive workshops aboard the 'betty bus'. Betty for Schools won four EVCOM Clarion Awards in 2017.
I taught sessions about empathy to male students. I delivered up to six high-quality workshops each day, quickly adapting material for diverse communities. I taught KS2/3 students, Pupil Referral Units and those with additional needs (SEN, EAL).
My role included line-managing five employees, maintaining accurate expenses and organising travel/accommodation. This extended to booking hotels for a second touring team in another location. Booking touring accommodation and travel for twelve geographically disparate freelancers was challenging, though rewarding.
